K.C.Aryan
was a renowned modern Indian Painter. Born into a family
of hereditary artists, he took to paints and brush as
naturally as one does to one's element. Inspite of the
fact that he breathed art, inherited and imbibed from
his father, brother and others at home and around, inspite
of several factors that contributed to shape his artistic
career in its formative phase, Aryan had to struggle
and strive a great deal to carved out a grand niche
for himself in the large world of contemporary Indian
Art, to achieve all that he has achieved. He was a self-taught
artist, never having attended an art college. He kept
his gaze fixed at his goal, remaining undeterred and
unfazed by countless handicaps, problems and difficulties.
Today we enjoy and appreciate his tireless efforts to
preserve and disseminate folk, tribal and neglected
art of India. He wrote 23
scholarly books, some with his daughter, art historian
Dr. Subhashini Aryan.
Below is the list of books.
